Dr. Pawan Mahat

Pawan Mahat is an Associate Professor and Vitreoretina and Phaco Surgeon at Patan Academy of Health Sciences. He completed his MD in Ophthalmology from B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in 2015 and pursued an 18-month fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology in 2019.

With over six years as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Mechi Eye Hospital, He has significantly contributed to eastern Nepal and neighboring countries. He has led numerous surgical eye camps in remote areas, restoring vision to those with limited healthcare access. He is a lifetime member of the Nepal Medical Association, Nepal Ophthalmic Society, and Nepal Vitreoretina Society. He has presented at both national and international conferences and serves on the executive committee of the Nepal Ophthalmic Society.
